Subject: [INNOG] IPv6 Best Practices
To: <innog at innog.net>

Hi folks

Although generally I do not promote my own content on mailing lists, but I
felt this one deserves an exception as it is meant to benefit the community
(and not myself).

My extensive technical article on IPv6 Architecture and Subnet planning has
been published on both my personal site and on the APNIC blog based on
real-life models:
https://blog.apnic.net/2023/04/04/ipv6-architecture-and-subnetting-guide-for-network-engineers-and-operators/
<https://mailtrack.io/trace/link/504bbc210ccfeffd90b90d096b753aaec384b1e0?url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.apnic.net%2F2023%2F04%2F04%2Fipv6-architecture-and-subnetting-guide-for-network-engineers-and-operators%2F&userId=2153471&signature=f0e5304aaa6da949>

Many of you the operators already know me personally and have in the past,
requested me to publish this particular piece to help you have best
practices-compliant IPv6 networks here in India, where currently less than
a handful of operators are complying with best practices to my knowledge.
Those of you who are in the Cloud/DC and Enterprise space can also benefit
from this article piece as I have a dedicated section for your network type!

I hope you the operators (including large Telcos and class A ISPs) out
there make good use of the article for your IPv6 planning, architecture and
deployment. Let us see more routed /56s per customer instead of
IPv4-mindset-based single /64 per customer!

*Feel free to reach out to me in private if you aren't comfortable asking
questions or sharing feedback on the public mailing list.*

Best Regards
